About Next Match Up
Next Match Up is a free reference site for football fans who want quick, reliable context before the weekend's top fixtures. Before you watch a match — or debate it at the pub — there are a handful of questions every fan asks: How many times have these two sides faced each other? Who's been in form? What does the table actually say right now? Who's been scoring? We built Next Match Up to answer those questions in under thirty seconds, without asking you to navigate paywalls, sign up for anything, or wade through a sea of hot takes.
We compile head-to-head records, recent form strips, live league standings, top scorers, and side-by-side team statistics for every upcoming fixture in the competitions we cover. The data is presented cleanly and consistently — the same layout for every match, the same columns in every table. If you know how to read one page, you know how to read all of them. Our goal is for a fan who has never visited before to find what they need in a single scroll.
Who It's For
Next Match Up serves four main audiences. Casual fans who want a fast pre-match read before the game starts — the kind of stats you'd look up on the train. Context-seekers doing their own research before placing a bet — we don't tell you who to back, but we give you the numbers to make up your own mind. Journalists and bloggers who need a quick cross-check on a stat mid-article. And trivia enthusiasts who can't resist knowing whether Arsenal have ever lost at the Bernabéu or how many times Brest and Monaco have shared a goalless draw in the last decade. We serve the data; you bring the analysis.
What We Cover
Our current coverage spans four of Europe's five elite leagues: the Premier League (England), La Liga (Spain), Bundesliga (Germany), and Ligue 1 (France). Between them these competitions contain 72 clubs, more than 1,500 fixtures per season, and the majority of global football search traffic. We maintain a rolling 14-day window of upcoming fixtures — so you can always look ahead to the next round of games — plus the complete current season's results and standings. Pages are regenerated several times per day to keep standings, form, and scorer tables current after each midweek and weekend matchday.
Our Editorial Stance
We don't predict winners. We don't publish tips, previews, or "sure things." We don't take advertising from clubs, betting companies, or media outlets that might create pressure to shade our presentation of the data. The stats here are the stats — drawn from official competition feeds and public records, presented without a thumb on the scale. Spotted something wrong? Use our contact form and choose "Data correction" — we fix verified errors quickly and take data quality seriously.
Languages
Next Match Up is available in English (this site, at the root) and French (at /fr/). French is the first additional language because Ligue 1 coverage and French-speaking fans are a core part of our audience. More European languages are on the roadmap — Spanish, German, and Italian are the likely next additions. If there's a language you'd like to see prioritized, let us know via the contact form.
Our aim is simple: to be the cleanest, fastest pre-match stats reference for the casual football fan — no clutter, no noise, no agenda. Just the numbers you need, the moment you need them.
