Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 April 2026
This policy explains what information Next Match Up collects when you visit the site, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. We've written it in plain language — legal boilerplate doesn't help anyone understand what's actually happening with their data.
What We Collect
When you visit any page on next-match-up.com, our web server and CDN (Cloudflare) automatically log your IP address, browser user agent, the URL you requested, and the HTTP status code returned. These server access logs are standard infrastructure and exist primarily for security and performance monitoring. We do not sell, share, or analyse these logs for marketing purposes.
If you have personalised advertising enabled in your Google account, Google AdSense — which we use to display advertisements — may set third-party cookies and collect data about your browsing behaviour across sites to show you more relevant ads. This data collection is governed entirely by Google's own privacy policy. We do not have access to the individual data Google collects through its advertising platform. You can opt out of personalised ads at any time via Google's Ad Settings.
We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal data simply by your visiting the site. The only exception is if you voluntarily submit our contact form.
Cookies
Next Match Up does not set any first-party tracking cookies. We do not use cookies to identify you across sessions, track your behaviour, or build a profile.
The only cookies present on the site are third-party cookies set by Google AdSense for ad personalisation and measurement. These are controlled by Google, not by us. You can manage or block these cookies using your browser's built-in cookie controls, or by installing a browser extension that blocks third-party cookies. Doing so will not prevent the site from functioning — you may simply see generic rather than personalised ads, or no ads if your browser blocks all advertising cookies.
We do not use any analytics platform that sets cookies. Cloudflare's analytics (see the Analytics section below) are cookieless.
Contact Form Data
If you submit our contact form, we store the following information: your name, email address, the subject category you selected, and your message. This information is stored securely on our server.
We use contact form submissions for one purpose only: to reply to you. We will never add your email address to a mailing list, share it with third parties, or use it for marketing of any kind. If your inquiry requires us to pass information internally to another person handling a specific subject (for example, a data correction that requires a technical review), that person is bound by the same confidentiality.
We retain contact form records for 12 months after the conversation ends (defined as the last message exchanged). After that period, records are permanently deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time — see the GDPR rights section below.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for basic traffic measurement. Cloudflare Analytics is privacy-friendly by design: it collects no personally identifiable information, sets no cookies, and provides only aggregate metrics (page views, top pages, referrer domains, country-level geography). No individual visitor is tracked. The data never leaves Cloudflare's infrastructure for advertising or third-party use.
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any other tracking pixel or session-recording technology.
Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have the following rights regarding any personal data we hold about you:
- Right of access — you can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your data (subject to any legal retention obligations).
- Right to data portability — you can request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object — you can object to processing of your data in certain circumstances.
To exercise any of these rights, use our contact form and choose "Other" as the subject, with a brief description of your request. We will respond within 30 days. There is no charge for exercising these rights.
If you believe we have not complied with our obligations under applicable data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
Children
Next Match Up is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through our contact form, please notify us via the contact form and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example if we add new features that affect data collection, or in response to changes in applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We recommend checking this page periodically if privacy matters to you.
Contact
For any questions about this privacy policy, or to exercise your data rights, please use our contact form. We do not publish a direct email address to avoid scraping and unsolicited contact.
